Apparently in Red Deer its been snowing pretty bad all day similar with Calgary (or so i'm being told) we are just waiting for it to hit us in Drum any minute - unless as per usual it will skim the top of the valley and I can do the garden tomorrow after all :curse:

By the time it reaches us its s'pose to be rain mixed with snow.
I have just been sitting in my back garden, in shirt sleeves, eating dinner, with a nice glass of wine, or maybe two, while watching the ice burgs crashing about in the Assinaboin River.
Really life can get no better than that.

Not showing any sign of stopping, and set to continue until Tuesday (I think!)

It's been snowing slowly but steadily since mid-morning here - roads not good by late afternoon. I suspect this might be what I'd call the first 'proper' snow all winter ! You know - wet, icy, slushy, dangerous (UK-stylie) snow. Supposed to carry on for two or three more days which might prove interesting to those of us who have blagged through the winter so far with nowt much to speak of.
The 24 degrees last Sunday was just a teaser then?
By the way - at what point should I expect to see some movement or sightings from all the new spring bulbs that were put in last year. Might they make an appearance before, oh, I don't know - say June?!
