Of course Jesus (or his creators) would tell folks not to worry about those first two commandments. If they did, they wouldn't follow Jesus.;) And you are correct. Most Christians, or too many of them, forget what should be the true meaning of the faith.

Re: "Ground Zero" Mosque. Should they or shouldn't they?
Of course, the "eye of a needle" did mean something different then, so not quite so lidicrous, and there is always some argument over literal interpretation vs metaphore etc, and none of this has anything to do with the (not a) mosque (two blocks and a bit from being) at ground zero anyway.
Im sure the koran burning nutter will be sucessful in stopping them building a mosque at ground zero, as it never was a mosque, and never was going to be at ground zero in the first place:rolleyes: |

Anyone else picked up on the irony regarding what this tit calls his church?
Dove World Outreach Center. |

Definitely not. I'm Christian but not a Catholic. There is no such thing as technically Catholic unless you are referring to Catholics who practice their religion only on Sundays and major Christian holidays.

I like your impassioned denial. But you're wrong. You might not be Roman catholic but if you're a Christian of a major church then you're a catholic.

Why, if the Muslim site developers really are as peace-loving and reconciliatory as they claim, can't they build a multi-faith centre with a church and a Synagogue in the same building.
I do not know if this is true! |

You know, this whole thing is a media frenzy blown out of all proportion. The site for the new mosque, to replace a temporary one in the area, is NOT ON GROUND ZERO - it is actually two blocks away. There is a heck of a lot of buildings, (commercial, residential, political and several Starbucks), in between the Ground Zero and this new Mosque. It is also not a traditional mosque, but more of an education and study centre - something I think people need.
What have we learnt folks? Never trust the media - verify the facts for yourself! :frown: I saw in the Daily Show of John Stewart the map and it reflects what you said...The site is far from Ground Zero.. |
