Up the street, in the Sailors Arms, Sinbad Sailors, grandson of Mary Sailors, draws a pint in the sunlit bar. The ship‘s clock in the bar says half past eleven.
Half past eleven is opening time. The hands of the clock have stayed still at half past eleven for fifty years. It is always opening time in the Sailors Arms.

Harry Secombe and Max Boyce. What a double act they were, driving round the valleys in the middle of the night, setting fire to English second homes, the scamps.

Re: Great things that came from Wales...
I have a question about Welsh, the language. My brother had a mate, Taff, who spoke Welsh. Listening to him on phone was like listening to an Indian, who might go yinga-yinga-yinga-leisure-centre-yinga-yinga, persumably because there's no Urdu or Gujerati world for leisure centre. Taff would babble his consonants nineteen to the dozen interupting them only for "****" or "shit" or worse. What I wonder is, did he switch to English because there are no obscenities in Welsh or did he just not know them because he learned the language from his parents?

There are some translations to some obscene/rude English words, but I wouldn't know them coz I'm a good girl
