Another irritating thing about Canada Post, their refusal to deliver parcels to the door and forcing people to go out of their way to pick parcels up. Funny how Fedex and UPS can manage to come to the door but Canada Post can only leave a notice in the mail box telling you to pick it up.
Mail order companies really need to pull their business from Canada Post.

Its better that way. Purolator is the worst. When I get a pack from them, mum is never home to sign for it so rather than being able to pick it up the night of, as is the case with UPS / FedEx, Purolator's truck goes back to the distributing centre in London for the night, then the NEXT day, you have to wait till noon when they drop it at the St.Thomas pickup location. So if you miss a package you are waiting another almost full 24 hours for it.
I had a computer shipped to me using them once, computer made it to Vancouver and vanished, never tracked again, never arrived on my door. I have had several packages shipped by Purolator vanish once getting to Vancouver.
Luckily Dell didn't hesitate to replace it quickly and upgraded the machine free of charge, and shipped the replacement Fedex with no issue.
