Very true.

I did not know he and Tony Blair worked at the London Electricity Board.
To campaign as a Conservative in Brixton must of been pretty heavy going.

Ballsy guy. Witty in person, wooden on TV. A working class hero not recognised as such because he was self-effacing almost to the extent of being Canadian. Rancid politics, of course, but he was a hard man and put it about, he deserves better than to be thought a non-entity.
One wonders whether he tucks his shirt into his underpants.

Not recognised so, because us working class couldn't bloody relate to him or Norma in any way shape or form. And as far as being self effacing is concerned, I think Edwina Curry may disagree with this assertion. Jesus Mary and Joseph, next we'll be reading Thatcher was the peoples princess...............

Oh yes, that's right, wasn't she a raving, fag smoking, gin drinking lush who had more men than hot dinners too? While she was busy with creating YUPPIES, half killing the miners and stripping students of their education.
Yes I remember that peoples princess and her gifted husband well!

Although the method he used to get there is dubious at best...the Blair-Brown leadership deal confirmed by Cherie (if you can believe her).
At the end of the day, same crap different pile....

I suppose I'll be waiting a long time to hear how this Blair-Brown deal brought Major his job. Still, as long as the explanation arrives in an interesting font.
