The new version is a lot more intensive on the computer you use. If it's a bit older or weaker the whole interface runs like treacle. On a newer PC it's not too bad.

I hate the way google just keeps changing for the sake of change. There was a time when if you googled a name on images to see who it was, a bunch of images would come up that may or may not have been that person but their name would at least appear under the image and you could at least work out the right one. Now you do it and you wonder why the hell a photo of Elton John or a trifle came up. :eek: I discovered that right at the bottom was a button for 'basic' version (the original) but could i ever get to it? I'd scroll down and no sooner begin to move the cursor to select it than the page would go back up before I could do it. :frown: I have it saved now. |

I actually like the new Google Maps. It has a cleaner look to it, the actual map is larger and now it is easier to look at things closer to the locations you are looking at.
You'll get used to it.. Just like you got used to the old Google Maps when that was new.. |

I guess it depends what you use them for. If 90% of my use is made ineffective, then I won't be getting used to it, I'll be going elsewhere. |

I don't know why these companies feel the need to change things that don't need changing.
I only use google as I can't find a search engine anywhere near as good as google, bing doesn't come close to being good. FB just changed parts of their website as well. |
