I used my £5 grillpan to do some bangers this morning, cooked them perfectly, the ridges allowed me to grill them evenly and the handle never got too hot to hold.

I thought it appropriate the first use was some cheapo sobeys sausages, reduced to $1.50 for 6, and tasting overpriced for that.

My chip pan (£8) has also been going great guns.

When will oh canada populise these wonders of the modern kitchen?

I bought 5 packs of these when I was last back in the UK. What I wouldn't do for the Dollarama equivalent....

We picked up a proper egg poacher, does 4 eggs at a time. As Tony Tiger would say. "It's Greaaat"

Do the four dishes go in and out separately? We have one that does three but they're in the same insert thingy. Make three and there's a danger of the other two coming out when you try to tip one out.

A proper egg poacher is gently boiling water. Those poaching pans turn the eggs to rubber.

Is a pan you fill with water and has 4 separate plastic cups that hang down into the water, it does make great eggs. Honest !! :@)

I know the pan of which you speak. Just cook them properly in water. No need for a silly pan

Unfortunately I have virtually stopped eating eggs now, but if I have one in the near future I will try in a pan only, usually tho it gets messy.

Saw the weird frying pan type on special in Canadian Tire the other day, but clearly that's not what you're talking about. Not a poached egg (or really any egg) fan at all myself. And not sure who to believe on the health front.

One UK thing I wish I'd brought back in bulk is hi-fruit squash.

Silicon egg poaching cups work reasonably well, but yes, eggs come out a bit rubbery.
