Morning all.
I have VPN so I can get BBC, but I’ve no idea how to get Andrew Niels new GB TV. I’ve been in Alberta for 40 years, (I know - love everything here except the TV), so terms such as Freeview Sky etc don’t mean anything. If I down load the freeview app will I be able to get GBnews in that. Can I pay a subscription to Sky or whatever with a Canadian CC to get that service? Thanks.

I don't imagine they can go as far. Fox isn't a news channel but an entertainment one so people on Fox can say anything at all, there's no obligation to truth. GB News is some form of news channel so I suppose they're limited to frothing lunacy in the manner of the Daily Mail.

I won't be watching it, but describes itself as having an "anti-woke" agenda; there's a segment called "Woke Watch", which sounds a bit like George Orwell's Two Minute Hate.
Apparently last night there was an anti-lockdown discussion and some frothing about footballers taking the knee. Sounds like Gammon TV.

I think Andrew Doyle is on it. He does the (funny, IMO) Titania McGrath Twitter account.

I prefer to watch a wide variety of mainstream news, and social media news on *all sides* of the political spectrum. This way one’s views are broadened and not narrowed into an echo chamber. Perhaps you could try it. It help you be more respectful in your language. You certainly have a long way to go.

i thought your lot loved those Great British institutions? If the phrase was good enough for Dickens, who coined it, its good enough for me, maybe you just hate British things?

I asked for information on how to view this TV channel, and you sent a horrible racist reply. Gammon is a type of meat and not a fit description of a white person. It’s derogatory and racist as are lots of names for POC. Such language has no place in private or public discourse

As long as one person is speaking in a derogatory way - and making unfounded assumptions about the other person, there is not room for dialogue and understanding. I originally asked a perfectly simple question about how to watch a new news channel. And immediately you made many assumptions about me. The one thing you didn’t assume was that I like to hear and read about diverse views, especially ones that may hold *different values* and *different political views* from my own. This is what helps one to grow. My conversation (if one could call it that) with you is over. Hope you have a wonderful life, making unfounded assumptions about all you meet. Adios.

There's a gulf between taking on all sides of the spectrum, with say the Telegraph on the right and the Guardian on the left and embracing the weirdos, GB News, Fox, Health Freedom News, the Morning Star, the Daily Mail, Newsmax World Weekly News, National Enquirer, Breitbart. Consuming sensationalist tripe published at the very limit of legally acceptable distortion isn't healthy even if you balance it with subscriptions to the Atlantic and the New Yorker
