Apparently there were only two 'murders' in Poco last year and one was finally put down to suicide.

The figures came from 2007 when pig farmer Robert Pickton was on trial for killing 26 women from the downtowwn east side ov Vancouver.

Other parts of Canada have objected strongly too about their figures being wrong.

But wouldn't the Pickton murders been included in the stats for the years they actually happened and not when the accused is actually tried?

Legalizing is the only way to stop this. You have to wake up and smell the gun smoke; the drug business, which has been around since the 70s is big big business and the gangs will stop at nothing to ensure their gang gets the lions share of the action. The people drawn to gangs do so willingly, knowing well that their lives could be on the line, or that they could end up in prison, but to them, the rewards make it worth the risk. How do you deal with a mentality like that? well frankly, you dont, it's a fruitless, futile exercise.

The fact is, the top gansters are very smart and cunning people, they know the system, and more importantly, they know how to beat it. You can give the police as much power as you like, it wont stop them from being one step ahead.

Sorry if this comes across as bit doomsdayish, but it's the cold hard truth, just as it's true that a very large portion of people between 15-40 are taking ecstasy every single weekend all around the world and have no plans to stop taking it any time soon.

Have you seen the price of an ecstasy pill these days? were talking about $5 or less even, in other words for the price of a beer you can have the time of your life all night. How do you deal with that? well frankly, you don't, it's a fruitless, futile exercise. The reason the price is so low is because there's THAT many people doing it.

It's time our governments faced up to the fact that their ineffective policies are making normal people out to be criminals for the 'crime' of wanting to enjoy themselves without falling over pissed, and that the same policies are causing gangs to embed themselves in our societies with INNOCENT bystanders getting caught up in the crossfire. The fact that millions around the world are taking ecstasy and other illegal drugs every day is ignored in order to gain some sort of 'moral high ground', meanwhile our sons and daughters are going out partying and taking substances that could be a lot safer if they were produced properly in a controlled way.

Whats the more criminal? the fact that gangs are willing to kill each other for a slice of the action or the fact that our governments are afraid to take the steps which ultimately would save more lives that the current situation will take?

Yes, those murders happened before that year. Quote from the Tri city News:

But a year-end summary from Coquitlam RCMP shows there were only two offences classified as homicides in PoCo and, after investigations that concluded in 2007, neither were ruled as murders (one was suicide and the other was accidental).
Another problem with the national report shows the numbers were based on per 100,000 populations and, with PoCo’s headcount at just over 59,000, two “homicides” would push the number to the top, a Coquitlam RCMP spokesperson said.

Yes - we're right on the boder of Coquitlam/Port Moody and they bought an apartment in one of the new high rises there, while their mother lives about half a mile away. Because of threats and attempts on their lives, the police have a stake-out outside the building 24/7 and follow them when they go out outside their curfew hours. This is more to protect the public from harm during any more drive by shootings aimed at them.

The Bacons house in Abbotsford has 3 camera's running and monitored 24/7 in an attempt to protect the public from injury, this house has seen some drive by shootings in the past.

The warfare has spread to the lower mainland now with killings in Langley, Surrey, Richmond and Abbortsford.

They are also shooting women - horrifying to think you could be passing by when this happens.
