Actually, according to the article posted, it wasn't set to record until 1am - after they had spent time in bed and then gone out onto the balcony to take selfies. He switched it on on their return inside.

Ah, I thought it was when they had got back to the apartment.

He sounds a very unpleasant man. Still using Tinder after she had died. Posting on body builders forums about his sex exploits, calling women "sloots"

Was it their first meeting through tinder?

He sounds revolting and a typical Tinder guy looking to add notches on the bedpost. He threatened to knock her out.

She shouldn't have gone back with him if she didn't know him that well but I'm guessing it was a one night stand and that was it.

I think neither. From everyone I have read, which appears to be backed up by his recordings, she was a very strange girl that kept attacking him. He should have told her to leave not put her on the balcony of course. I tend to think she decided to try and climb down to the balcony below because she wasn't thinking clearly because of the alcohol. I don't think she was in immediate danger from him. It didn't need to come to this.

Really sad for both of them, one lost her life and the other will have his life defined by it. Balconies and alcohol just don't mix. Had he lived on the ground floor this would never have happened. In my misspent youth thank God we didn't have Tinder, but I can certainly relate to best forgotten nights where alcohol and lack of sense could have had horrible endings.

What a shame he didn't just shove her out the front door. They neither of them sound like delightful individuals.

Agreed. Why do you travel to a strange country and hook up on Tinder without knowing your surroundings anyway?

Agreed. Very unfortunate for both. If he had let her depart, and she had been assaulted, he would have been criticised for not looking after her. I think the alcohol badly clouded her judgement.

Why blame her for using Tinder?

The recording sounded as if he was trying to throttle her to restrain her which seems rather excessive give the difference in sizes and strengths. All he had to do was pick her up and put her outside.

Yesterday I read that the jury couldn't reach a decision, I'll see what I can find today.
