It's only on 4 acres though, what if the neighbours are noisy, or smelly.

Are you sure you used to live in London? :D

Of course, but Londoners, being the salt of the earth, present no such difficulties.

It is, however, one way, perhaps the one way in which my perceptions have changed since I've been here. I now look at something like this:

and think they've a bit of a cheek in using horses in the pictures since there's no land to put them on.

This is the worst i could find. The master suite is almost as big as our house.

After looking at many beautiful homes i now have house envy.

Estate agents, eh.
Pleasant interior on that one.

Yes, that's where i first saw them. Of course i am such a messy, dozy mare that it would not be minimalist inside for long but i suppose i i could afford one i could manage a cleaner or two.

I believe that all should post pictures of their houses on here and then we can all decide which of the posters houses on here are vulgar.

Here goes;)

I don't. That place in the photo is vulgar in the sense of being unsophisticated. But it certainly it doesn't have bling.

Not only is that a silly idea, on a public form it's a serious security risk.

I've seen "European kitchen" in ads and assumed they meant "from Ikea."

Sadly, it seems that wealth is inversely proportional to taste in Calgary. With the exception of some of the older neighbourhoods, such as Mount Royal and Scarboro, expensive houses are ghastly. An oil executive built a new infill up the road from me last year. When my sister visited she was surprised to find a factory on a quiet residential street.

I don't have any outside pictures of our current house so I can't post them (I'm not very fussed over security). I don't have any because I can't bear to take any while it's as ugly as it is; it's covered in vinyl siding in that colour Canadians like their cars, we call it greige. This house has the exact same stuff, it'd only be worse if they added some of that roll-on fake stonework.
