Dammit, you lot are far too nice. I thought a hopelessly ageist comment would spark something but no dice. Rich 007 is far better at stoking the embers it seems.

Dont seem to see so many to-the-death arguments involving dbd33 or crazy stuff from Steve666 these days. And as for all those people banging on about Nova Scotia's beautiful North Shore...<yawn>.
Or perhaps I have just missed all the really meaty discussions without realising it.

Anyone else feel the same?

I have been here an hour and i feel the same, now lets spoon. No forking please.

mmmmm, I think thats the problem.

TBH I daren't say anything too emotive for fear of being shot down in flames by the sharp ones.

The one that is without question at doing that is Bazzz. He has the uncanny knack of making me feel like a naughty schoolgirl and thats when he`s shooting someone else down!!! I crap myself when I see he's replied to one of my threads because it means one of 3 things, I've spelled something wrong or said something wrong or heaven forbid - both!

And then i`m either not quick enough to come back and defend myself cos I can always see someone else`s point of view!

On a plus note tho he does say the kind of things that I wish I had the brains to say to people tho ;)

Yes an over-moderated forum that stick to the bible can make it hard for new people (not saying that this is one) but to a newbie like me its the fault of mandymoochops

Consider it all training for the great confrontational game of life. Once you have crept up on a few threads to see what replies have been made to a post you develop a slight immunity.

But then, only the other day I dipped out of replying to one post, just cos I couldnt be arsed.

Lets have a go at political correctness - Why do actresses want to be called 'actors' the term male actors use?

or

Should a Hershey bar not be a Heshey bar or a persybar?

In the words of Kevin Bloody Wilson

"You can be dam sure if its political, it sure as hell aint correct"

mmmmmm I think anything that names a specific role like manager, that then has a woman up in arms because it should be manageress, is just trying to get attention for herself, and subconciously making excuses for the fact that its a woman doing the job so "i may make a few mistakes"

Whereas if the woman really was good at the job she wouldn`t give a monkeys what it was called cos her abilities would shine through
