Ford F150 or Chevy Suburban

Re: Ford F150 or Chevy Suburban
Thanks for the responses everyone, well we have done lots and lots of talking about what we should go for and to be honest, we're not bothering with either of them now! We weren't too impressed with a review on the 2005 F150 and OH just wasn't smitten enough with the Burb to commit to that. One vehicle we are definitely in agreement on and we are now on the look out for is the Chevy Avalanche. It's got the perfect combination of pick-up and SUV......to us, it's a real eye-catcher/jaw dropper!! And regarding the RV we were wanting to go for, well we're not bothering right now until I know my job is permanent.....and I'm sure most would agree that would be the decent decision to make. So I guess we'll still be ruffin' it in the tent this year!!
Piff ya jammy mare take a pic and email it to me so I can drool!!! LOL

We only looked at them (Ridgelines) because of the similar shape to the Avalanche but they're only a 3.5 litre and towing capacity of 5,000lbs, as opposed to the Avalanche's 5.3ltr & 7,000 - 7500lb specs. It's also a MUST that it seats 6 people (for the UK rellies when they come over!) and I'm not sure if the Ridgeline has that bench seat up front like most of the Avalanche models have.

I don't think you'll drool over it - it's a 1985 Vanguard you know brown and biege... We pick it up on Thursday and will need to update the brown/orange/pink interior a little. SO I need to buy a sewing machine and bodge some curtains - what fun But hey it's a start into the world of RV's and we are so excited You'll have to pop over for a cuppa before long!
Wise to wait - I'm sure your job will be permanent, Snears are messing me around again - time to cut loose, enough is enough so seriousley looking now. I would suggest getting the vehicle that best suits your RV'ing needs when it comes to it so if you want a 5th wheel it's got to be truck hmmm F350? (Why bother witht the baby ones) The Titans look nice to me too.

Oh you guys!! You've hurt my feelings Well would I get another bashing if I said we are also umming and ahhing over a Dodge Ram 1500 5.7l Hemi??? I bet not eh!! I love the Avalanche (booooo to you lot who think they're ugly - all the more choice for us then!! ), OH is weighing up prices and value for money with the Dodge Ram, so we will definitely be making the big buy within 2 - 3 weeks
