We have flown to/from UK with Air Transat. There is an upgraded Club Class available which, while not as grand as Air Canada or BA, is really quite good, much wider seats, longer leg room and better food. We were pleased the twice we flew with them. Found it very comfortable and priced reasonably vs the scheduled airlines.

Personally i would rather swim than fly but my wife said that wasnt practical so we used Transat clubclass when we came over last week and it only cost an extra 110 quid each plus taxes, but we had to pay full price for our son even though he was only 3 because he had a seat (although i drank all his wine with the meal)
Worth every penny as the flight was full and i think i would have had a panic attack in economy

I aggree on the transat club class, i flew with them a while ago and it was a very good experience, you have a dedicated check in to begin, and the meal was far nicer that economy, i beleive canadian affair offers a similar product on their site, and canadian offers reasonably priced single tickets so you dont waste money on the return part. I definately wouldnt pay for BA/AC first class, but do like the idea of the limo picking up form the airport, would add a little luxury!

As nice as the Airplane experience is in Club & First, its the Lounge privilege with both AC & BA that really add to the experience. Comfy, stress free lounges with free eats and drinks
Especially good are the arrivals lounges at Heathrow, showers and a free cooked breakfast
.
Aaah those were the days, when I didn't have to pay for my own travel.

Others have mentioned a cruise to NY.
For the money it is well worth it and is a bit of a holiday as well. Me and the OH did this on the QM2 and drove from NYC up to Toronto. I also landed at Buffalo at the same time.

The airline require this privacy so the ladies from that area of the world can take their vails off.

We looked into this FK still haven't ruled it out so the dogs can go with us rather than fly, its 6 days too NY or 7 to Halifax, We looked at Cunard, very helpful staff
We were looking at going last month ( this was back in the spring when we thought we would have been in CA by now
) and they were already booked up for the kennels, still fancy it though, so book ahead if you can, fab value as well
