Simple solution from this credulous simpleton. I have a serious flying phobia, rooted in a real "incident" in a real aircraft, mild injuries incurred as a result thereof:
Two Valium. One just after check in, the other after going through security.
Small bottle of wine with the main meal. Seat near the loo. Sorted.

two pints of beer and i'm ready to take on the globe.
Also focus on the air stewardesses doing their job on the plane, what they are doing day in day out. That works too.

My last sports bike was a Kawasaki ZX-6R - brilliant, brilliant fun.
Always fancied the Aprilia RSV-Mille but never rode one. Now I think I'd be too stiff to ride a sportsbike for very long. Perhaps the BMW GS is more appropriate!
I worked with a guy, mid-40s with quite the most enormous gut you have ever seen - he constantly talked about wanting to buy a FireBlade. I don't think he could even have reached the bars.
