If all else fails you could always try looking on Etsy for a plushie maker who would make a custom one for you!
www.etsy.com
But that might be too expensive as well... I am not sure. Just a thought

What about sending it to a doll hospital for a bit of TLC? You could send it with the picture of your son for restoration purposes.

Attached is an image of my youngest son when he was about a year old. He is now 34 and has two daughters of his own now aged 3 and 5.
He is holding what he called "baby". He and "baby" were inseparable for many, many years.
"Baby" was sent from England for his first Christmas.
His daughters found "baby" a week or two ago and it is in pretty rough shape but because it was daddies it was treated with great reverence.
Does anyone recognize "baby" and do you know if they can still be purchased?
Mrs_P is going to try to rebuild but if a new one or two can be obtained that would be all the better.
Thanks in advance.

I was hoping that they may still be available somewhere but it appears not so it's plan "B".

Mrs_P is going to remake the doll using this one and the photo as a model, provided we can find suitable material to make it out of. We believe we can find that material locally.
Thanks everyone for looking.
