A favour please...

Attached is an image of my youngest son when he was about a year old. He is now 34 and has two daughters of his own now aged 3 and 5.

He is holding what he called "baby". He and "baby" were inseparable for many, many years.

"Baby" was sent from England for his first Christmas.

His daughters found "baby" a week or two ago and it is in pretty rough shape but because it was daddies it was treated with great reverence.

Does anyone recognize "baby" and do you know if they can still be purchased?

Mrs_P is going to try to rebuild but if a new one or two can be obtained that would be all the better.

Thanks in advance.
Steve

Initially thought it was Andy Pandy but it's actually a rabbit when you open the picture.

I wonder if you could find something like that on ebay???

Maybe tough because I think its 'just' a stuffed toy as opposed to a character from a show or something.

Alternatively lots of grandparents keep bags of stuffed their grandchildrens old toys in their basements etc maybe a heartfelt plea to some of the older generation (how do you phrase that one nicely!!!!!!) would get some of them tearing open bin liners and finding stuffed bunnies :)

Good luck x

I have a photo of my elder son, then aged 3, breast feeding a stuffed monkey. This of course was a few months after my younger son was born.

It is a formidable blackmail tool as I threaten to send it to his girlfriends.

I have some obscene photos of a college buddy taken many years ago at his 21st. He knows I have them. This is useful. He's my boss.

I'll post a pic later but I'll warn you now it looks absolutely nothing like it did when new.

Mrs_P has had to give it new "clothes" more than once.

I wish you every bit of luck finding a new 'baby'. You've brought back memories of a long forgotten bunny with long legs and arms that I had, mine was red bodied with red and white checked legs.

My two both had something similar, needless to say they were both called Harvey! They were hand-made by a friend of my MIL's, one red and one blue.
