Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie

Didn't know he was Canadian, but this is one of the most beautiful poems I know. Sad, no doubt, but beautiful nevertheless.

Ah, finally! Rush rocks! My favourite band ever! But then, there's also Triumph.

Here are the other ones I know of:

Marshall McLuhan
David Suzuki
John Kenneth Galbraith

and Steven Pinker.

Glad I didn't mention Albert Ball. For some weird reason, I always think of him as Canadian.

"for some reason i want to say 'james taylor' - possibly because he's on Clear FM (Manitoban radio station) at the moment, or possibly because I sub-consciously know he's Canadian...?"

JT originates from Boston MA, moved to South Carolina when a young lad, resided in London (England) for a while and is now back in Massachusetts in the Berkshires - so no, not Canadian!

Regrettably they are Canadian....you can thank Can Con regulations for causing them to be popular...

I don't think he's Canadian. That Lombardo dude was... maybe that's who you're thinking of?
