(not too far its 7ft tall and quite heavy)

Obviously it broke some more but god it felt good

Pffft.....what a crock eh? So, with this post in mind I bought a non-pre-lit from Walmart....a six footer for $65. I also bought a box of 300 lights $23. Seems reasonable. They didn't have the one I bought out on display but the box piccie looked okay. It's not quite up to the standard of the box piccie.....but what could I expect for that price.

I was REALLY tempted by the pre-lits but after what you said Mandy, it put me off a bit. How hard can it be to put lights on a tree? Granted they don't look as neatly done but once all the frippery is on, who would know. i'd say from looking around, Sears had the best tree (pre lit, nice quality, I think it was $179 - but they'd sold out).....so Walmart was the best other option.

Don't expect gorgeous though....I may even be tempted to take it back and get the next one up....but compared to others I've seen at $400+ I'd say it's a bargain(but I'm just a fussy whatsit when it comes to trees :sneaky:).

I'm the only one in my house that deals with the 'joy' of putting up the Christmas decs. OH would rather stick rusty nails in his eyes and seventeen year old son is too lazy to be bothered :sneaky:

Ah the joys of the holiday season. At my house in Canada I had a younger sister who morphed into Clark Griswold as the annual hunt for the family tree began, a Dad who preferred to behave like Scrooge and a Mam who was just plain worn out with playing referee every December. It was fun though.
