Can anyone recommend furnished short term rental/extended stay, around a month or so, with at least kitchenette in the Toronto GTA for under $100 per night for 5 of us? I'm having trouble finding somewhere. Have rung quite a few places that only cater for 4 people in a room and also don't have rollaways for a 5th person.
Also any recommendations for car rental companies? We're landing 18th June so am starting to panic.

Other posters on this site have suggested that car rental costs are less expensive if booking made from the UK. All the major companies are represented at Toronto Int. Airport.

HI
DON'T RENT FROM THE AIRPORT, find a place and then rent near that much cheaper, get a taxi or a Bus to where ever you want to go form the airport. We live in Brampton and there are plenty hotel/motel around here that do the rooms for 5. Short term rentals get in touch with a real estate agent in the area you are moving to and they will email houses to you , but short term lease are hard to find most want a min of 12 months, so be prepared for a long stay at the motel or renting for a year then buying , which is what we did.

On the car rental front I have used these in the past:
www.canadian-affair.com you get an all-inclusive price so you know what you are paying up front.
www.carhire3000.com
Some others on the board have used a company called Atlas or Atlas Choice I think.
If you have transport then I would imagine you would probably be able to find a cheaper hotel either on the outskirts of Toronto or near to the Airport. Try some of the sites that do the work for you and search multiple sites, such as:
www.travelsupermarket.com
www.expedia.co.uk
www.ebookers.com
www.kayak.com
It might be easier to book a hotel for say 2 weeks and then spend a bit of time trying to find one of those "suite hotel" places or something.
Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your responses, I'll try those websites. We will be renting for around 12 months before considering buying a home, but we need accom for
4-6 wks while we find a rental property where we want to live, after checking out the schools, we have 3 kids aged 13, 10 and 6. I might consider an inflatable mattress if all else fails. I just find it unusual that so many places don't provide a rollaway for a 5th person.

Lots of nice Bed & Breakfasts in the city...much nicer than a hotel and you get meals included.
