Despite the rumblings about the price of real estate, winter rain, homelessness and the traffic, It's hard not to love Vancouver on days like we have had lately.
It truly has been a remarkable spring. I've been at Locarno beach for the past couple of days and it has been breathtaking to say the least. I've always felt very connected to Vancouver in the summer months.

You can really go off some people, you know (she says as she zips up her fleece, looking out of the window at wet, sleety, snowy stuff as the thermometer on the back deck hits a heady high of 4 degrees).
Actually - I'm not moaning at all (much). We've had a pretty glorious couple of weeks here too (just today that the temps have plummeted) and I love this place when it turns green and I gain a watch-strap mark from my pathetic tan
Everything always seems better when it's nice outside, don't you think?
You carry on and enjoy dboy

I don't know where you got your pictures from but it must be a con. It rains all the time in Vancouver. Everybody knows that!

But it's a dry rain as proved by those pictures.

Oh and it's no longer wet sleety snowy stuff here in Calgary, it's just plain old wet snow no rain, 2-4cms forecast by tomorrow morning.

While rain is a regular companion in vancouver, it does not rain as much as common myth would have it and most of the rain falls in the winter season between Nov and March. The rest of the year ranges from moderate to very little during the summer months. It is winter that is the period that vancouver gets its notorious rain - and yes it can get depressing. Summer is usually outstanding.
Anyway, this thread was not meant to be yet another pissing contest about where in Canada has the best weather (it's Osoyoos, BC by the way) but was merely one of those "ain't life great" moments.
Hope all enjoy the summer this year. Novo - happen you can get outside and leave the computer at home. (8,000 posts!)
