"O levels?", God you're old. That said, I never got no GCSEs, I'm proud to be chav but no, I'm from (a chavy part of) Kent.

I'm curious as to which part of Kent. I have several close friends there.

As to being old, yes, relatively speaking I am. So old that my main goal in life at the moment is surviving my last Canadian winter. If I were just 6 months older I'd be out of this hell hole on New Years Day.

Life is unfair.

Well who knows, after thirty years, you might miss the hell hole. There's bound to be some reverse culture shock. Life may be more unfair than you think!

Don't go doing any ice-scapades and end up with a broken hip in hospital

Unlikely, but thank you for your advice.

What exactly do you think I might miss? Except of course a silly salary replaced by a pension?

One has prepared for that.

Oh my...you are moving to France? You'll miss so much....the weather, the food, the wine, the cheese.....and don't get me started?

I have started to miss France as an intransigent thing....a shrug, a look, a pout...I don't know what....but I miss her as an almost physical blow some days.

But in fairness where you are now isn't that much different.
