hi dreamer
not yet! i also attend SW and my consultant said just a few weeks ago that they're hoping to break the N American market soon, but i didn't get a chance to ask if this was just America or Canada too.

well done on your loss so far and thin thoughts to all of you! :D

i think there's a whole group of motivation on hols somewhere but hopefully they'll be back to their rightful owners very soon!!

How rude, eh? Hope they get back in time for summer!

OK so was already to start last week and came down with the lurgy instead!
Now know I have 43lbs to lose and am nearly recovered enough to think about doing some exercise. Was just wondering if any in Calgary was wanting a workout buddy, I am pants at getting myself along to the gym even though I love it when I get there

Got weighed yesterday as missed last week, as had been indulging in easter eggs......99p in Tesco (now selling at 5 for £4.00)( and not the titchy ones). Anyway nice surprise, two and half pounds off, so now only one and half to go for my first stone.
Have not been to gym for 3 weeks as we are mad busy trying to do up two houses to get on market, as we have to get over by September or else our visa's will run out.
So next week it will be tackling an over grown garden and trips to the tip everyday. Slowly getting there but seems everytime I say to OH do you want this he says 'yes that will come in useful'. Thought we weren't supposed to be taking much with us but at this rate we are going to have to get a container instead of boxes. :curse:
So hows everyone else doing???

Know what you mean Tanya - I have a 'mini gym' downstairs and can't even find the motivation to make it down there.

I'm having a hard time at the mo' too! Comming down with laryngitus(sp) has not helped one iota:thumbdown: I haven't been able to talk since friday and today is the first day I have felt a little human - the antibiotics and steroids kicking in I suppose! Supposed to be having a romantic weekend in Canmore with hubby this weekend - Just hope I'm up to it:blink::thumbsup:

Darling daughter came home with the bug on Thursday and got shot of it by Friday, when she gave it to me. I shared it with hubby but he has managed to go back to work already and I'm the only one that can't talk:mad:

Daughter is off to the US with the Cadets on friday, the Henry is off to the kennels......I hope it doesn't snow some more and out trip is lovely.

Hi all, well i lost 2lbs this week so ive now lost just over 4 stone. Its a really difficult time at the moment because im only just getting over christmas and now we have easter here and all those delicious chocolate eggs to resist.
Its bloody hard at times but as i keep saying SO worth it. Ive got about another 19lbs to go until i get to my goal weight and i cant wait.
GOOD LUCK to all of you.

Thats brilliant, how long has it taken you? I am just one pound off my first stone and started weight watchers end November.....bit slow but agree with you about the temptations of Christmas and Easter, especially as here the prices of easter eggs have been cheaper than buying ordinary bars of chocolate. Keep up the good work:thumbsup:

Hi, firstly well done on losing nearly a stone. In answer to your question its taken exactly a year, but i havent lost that much weight simply through dieting, i have walked 6 miles every day (well apart from an occasional sunday off) for the past year. I have also taken up swimming once a week because as you can imagine with all that walking my bottom half has toned up really well but my top half still needs some work, so 40 lengths a week for me. It probably sounds a bit extreme but i have tried most my life to lose weight and this is what worked for me. Im not suggesting that everyone rushes out and starts walking miles every day but i can definately say that diet and exercise together is the key to success. Good luck to you :)

My hat is off to you flipflop. And I don't mean to sound flippant, but where do you find the time? How long does that take you each day, roughly?

do you know ann i really dont know where i find the time. A typical day for me is... get up at 7am, sort the kids out, leave for school run at 8.30, back by 9am. Housework til 10am, cleaning job til 11.30am, out with the dogs til 2.00pm. Ironing and a quick coffee til 3pm then school run. Sort dinner out, have bath hairwash etc and out to work again at 6.45pm until midnight. No suprises that i sleep like a log. To be honest walking that amount each day is time consuming, but i think its just sheer determination thats got me through. I know what kind of dieter i am and if i cant see results reasonably quickly then i give up, this has been the only way to see that fat coming off at a fairly quick rate, quickly enough that it has kept me motivated.
Apparently walking is one of the best exercises you can do and i have to say that i would agree, it not only burns fat but also gives you the feel good factor. Definately worth a try if you can fit it into your day.
Regards flipflop x
