Default An example of Regina weather!

Our pool sprang a leak over the winter. I was going to say "to heck with it" but after consideration decided that as its my grandaughter and friends and me who use the pool and I enjoy it, I would get a new liner for the thing. The pool people came and ripped out the old liner and told us to cover the pool so the base didn't get damaged if it rained.

As we couldn't find a tarp big enough to go down the sides and along the bottom of a pool that is 9.5 feet deep in the deep end, my husband made some 2 x 4 beams and we put the regular tarp across the top. However, this is a new tarp and it's not very substantial. We had reckoned without the usual gale force winds here and yesterday I had to spend the whole afternoon fighting to stop my tarp ending up in Winnipeg. It's now tied to the wrought iron fence!

My sister in Vancouver said they never get winds this strong in Vancouver.

Take a look - this is quite normal for Regina. Don't worry about the talking. I can't understand what I was saying! I was on the phone to my sister at the time!!

Well you must have forwarded the wind halfway round the world to us....here in Sydney my washing was wrapped around the clothes line today because it was so windy!

By the way, we had our first official snowfall of the season here in the Oz snowfields...going down there in July to climatize ourselves for when we get to Toronto....eventually!!
