I think that's dreadful! How stupid. The annoying thing is if you want to sign the petition, you have to donate to the Biodome! Evidently one must put one's money in, in order to have an opinion.

I thought that it was a spoof tbh. Ridiculous if genuine though.

It would be nice if it were a spoof money raiser...but I somehow doubt it...I've heard too much of this nonsense in the past.

but it could be true, that is the sad part
now read this:

Tuesday's report in the Journal de Montréal says the PQ government is set to prevent employees in public institutions like schools and hospitals from wearing religious symbols such as turbans, niqabs, kippas, hijabs and highly visible crucifixes.

I checked the date to see if it was April 1.
Then I thought maybe a spoof news site.
See the other headlines?
Toronto police admit the ninth bullet was a bit unnecessary
Kevin O’Leary completes hostile takeover of children’s lemonade stand
Memory foam mattress never lets local man forget
Ninth bullet unnecessary.
edited to add disclaimer

The Ninth Bullet

TORONTO - In response to the fatal shooting of 18 year-old Sammy Yatim on a streetcar this past weekend, Toronto Police Services admitted today that the ninth round fired was a tad unnecessary.
“We made an honest mistake,” said Police Chief Bill Blair. “The first three bullets were critical to our strategy of disarming the three-inch knife-holder before he could exit the empty streetcar, and the next five were required to ensure we could safely enter and safely taser the likely dead man. But, admittedly we could have skipped the ninth bullet.”
“When you are raining down gunfire on a confused and scared adolescent, sometimes these things happen,” Blair added.
“Nobody’s perfect,” said one of the officers involved in the shooting, who wished to remain anonymous. “Though we are asking the public to keep in mind that we were dealing with a non-caucasian, male teenager who had gone so far as to yell at a streetcar driver.”
The officers involved have been suspended with pay, in the hopes that the days spent in front of their new flat screens will give them time to think about what they have done.

A media report Tuesday with leaked details of the Parti Quebecois government's "Charter of Quebec Values" says the proposed policy will prohibit public employees from donning Sikh, Jewish and Muslim headwear in the workplace.
MEANWHILE WE WERE PREOCCUPIED WITH PUTIN
HOW IRONIC

What a tiresome and hackneyed attitude. Why do people in such a small and insignificant country get so upset that there are different cultural influences wanting to express themselves. Maybe because they are so small and insignificant that these things matter. Can't they just be like the UK and hate gingers?

I think this quote would have been better than having to go to the web site to read this,

I thought it better to go to the website because one would then see the humour
