Your not entitled to 3 hours off work, your entitled to 3 consecutive hours to vote.

Our polls locally for example are open 7a to 7p, if someone works 8 to 4, they have no entitlement to time of work, as their shift ends at 4p and gives them the 3 hours needed. Likewise if someone is working 12 Noon to 8pm, they have 3 hours before work.

I was in Botswana when we invaded Iraq. They didn't buy the WMD excuse for one second and saw it as colonial bullying from the start. I copped quite a lot of poop that morning.

It surprises me that some results are known before polling has closed everywhere.

No more election blackouts like they have had in the past.

There used to be a news blackout until polls closed in BC but with social media there is no way to enforce it. This time they dropped the blackout on the traditional news media.

This is the first election that this is so. It has been known for sometime that this would be the case.

Elections Canada is acknowledging that it is useless to try to charge everyone who posts to all the social media.

Seems like the obvious solution is to just delay the count until all the polls are closed. I don't suppose it matters that much really.

This is bollocks.

No swingometer or fancy graphics.

Declaring polls at a time and not seats.

I'm surprised the CBC are bothering to show it to us in colour.

Why does everything in this country have to be so mickey mouse half arsed???

I'm actually going to change over and watch Based Ball.

Atlantic Canada sure does like the Liberals, CBC shows 29 seats won, all other parties have 0.

Looking light a bad night for the tories and the NDP. It's reminding me of 1997 and Tony Blair. One wonders which of the tory ex-ministers will perform the Portillo speech.
