Easter plans?

Jesus died for our sins today, which was nice, and on Sunday he gets up again which is nice for him. Given that most people get four days off on holiday is anyone doing anything special for Easter? Going anywhere? I wanted to go off to Tofino or go and sit on a warm beach for four days but HID has other plans. I also fancied a nice leg of lamb for Sunday dinner but the heathens won't even consider that, it'll be over salted and tasteless crap ham. God forbid they bring out that marshmallow and jelly casserole again.

I'm working the whole period. Monday isn't even a holiday at Alberta Health Region anyway.
We have the prospective outlaws coming over Sunday evening for a bbq.

The weather has been crap here for the last two weeks or so. Its not very Easter like. Was going to go fishing today but the wind was blowing very hard and so we couldn't go.

They're threatening macaroni salad and a green salad, which sound OK (but then they are of Dutch descent rather than real Canadians... )

What do you get if you pour boiling water down a rabbit hole?
Hot, cross bunnies.

The poster i2c, and I, are spending Easter in Arizona, horseback riding, hiking, mocking mountain bikers (why do they dress in logo condoms? Is it so that the blood of innocent pedestrians mown down by their faggoty contraptions doesn't stick to them? Ridiculous people, and hardly less self-regarding than participants in the WWE.). Also swimming, cruising in an open car and enjoying the shop windows. One shop window featured images of Easter Bunnies, Easter Eggs and crucifixions; one stop shopping for all your superstition needs.
80F/27C expected today. Frolicking anticipated. I love America.

Well on Easter Sunday I'll be taking my OH to the airport to get a plane to Tokyo, he has this uncanny knack of getting work overseas just as the kids have time off school

What a sensible chap
just think you can eat all the choc eggs while he is away We have an Easter egg hunt tomorrow with the kids, roast Lamb and all the trimmings, followed by sticky toffee pudding ( home made )
Just made a carrot cake and cookies, probably make some brownies as well
for tea tomorrow with friends,
OH is off for 4 days and would have been off next week only the rail strike has been called of
we must one of the few, that were hoping for the strike
as he gets to work from home See the weather is fab in Ottawa in the high 20s

We wanted to do something fun and exciting today but it's either closed or too far away
