Bloody hell. Just had a small earthquake in Toronto. I assumed at first it was the effect of the earlier pints but not so. Bit scary on the 18th floor and glad I am not in the 57 storey building next-door....

I felt it in Cleveland. I thought I was imagining things, but a bunch of coworkers also noticed the shaking.

I felt it down in Niagara Falls. They are saying it's been downgraded to a 5.0 and centered in Ottawa and there might be aftershocks.

Hope your mozzie bites clear up soon. That is such a pain for you. |
Re: earthquake in Ontario/ Quebec...
we felt it out in Mississauga. Our upstairs neighbours all trooped out of the office into the parking lot. We stayed put. They all came trooping back in a few minutes later, grumbling about over-zealous emergency procedures. Since we're directly in line with one of the runways at Pearson, those on the upper floors of the building tend to take things rather seriously when it comes to strange goings-on in the fabric of the building...

Re: earthquake in Ontario/ Quebec...
I'm in Toronto. Things shook, desks tottered across the floor, the street lamps looked all rubbery. My workmates assumed it was G20 related. They turned to me in a panic and asked "What do we do"? I tried not to laugh.

Is the earthquake related to England winning a footie match?

Re: earthquake in Ontario/ Quebec...
We were evacuated from our 3 story here in Markham for an hour.
It worked quite well for me as the only place to get lunch on this business park is a Timmy's. I quickly ran over and took advantage of there being no people in the que. |
