If thats the case then maybe they won't vote at all. Are there any statistics on voter participation by ethnic background?

So Harper's a separatist now is he?

I had discounted the separatists from my coalition of the left as their agenda is largely incompatible with that of a federal party with aspirations to form a government, rather than a successful lobby group.

I guess my point was that the majority of the people (those who did the survey anyway) are on the left of center, and this is bourne out by recent election results in Canada where more people voted left (Liberal / NDP) than right (Conservative). Not sure who would lead such a combined party, but as it will never happen I guess it doesnt matter.

So you too believe that Harper is a threat to same-sex marriage, even though he wouldn't admit it?

Wealthy people moving from China are unlikely to be keen on a high tax government to pay for social programmes.
Can you back this up? In relative terms, I'm quite wealthy, but not being Chinese I suppose, I'm all in favour of taxes paying for social programmes.

In Calgary all the taxi drivers seem to be from Pakistan - when they drive past the people begging for money at the traffic lights their views are never symathetic or suggestive of the government should do more but rather they are idle etc
The poor bastards are taxi drivers in Calgary ferchrissake. They'll say whatever their clientele want to hear if they expect a decent tip.

Well he doesn't exactly sing its praises but he's hardly likely to risk losing a majority over it.

So when I say its a pity that the charities can't help the beggars more and they tell me no thats wrong the guys are just lazy bums thats them sucking up to me for a tip?

bumpity bump.

The Cons seem to be getting increasingly desperate over the weekend and today. Jolly good.

In denial over their position over the Canada Health Care Act and reduced to lying about some fictional ipod tax. Jesus Christ.

Im married to a Canadian. You may be confusing Ironing with Irony. She certainly doesnt do Ironing, but is fully conversant with Irony. I will admit though that she may be atypical, having actually been "abroad"
