The difference between chocolates

I don't get it.
Surely it's snuffled away so quickly, it barely has time to hit the tastebuds?
Who cares? This is chocolate folks. Chomp chomp

US chocolate, Hersheys specifically tastes like vomit, but then that other US chocolate is divine, what the heck is it called. Ghirandelli or summat and how come Godiva chocolate isn't a patch on the Godiva chocolates I used to buy in St John's Wood?
Lindt choccie isnt gluten free BTW, just in case this is important to someone, anyone

Mmmmmmm, I completely agree - Ghirardelli's is the only US chocolate I've come across so far that's worth bothering with. Ghirardelli is owned by Lindt & Sprüngli, by the way. They make a big point of the fact that they import cocoa beans whole and raw, and shell and roast them in-house.
Here in Canada in my favourite is Purdy's Chocolate, it has that same creamy, melt in the mouth texture that I loved about UK chocolate with none of that sweet, disgusting grittiness I hate about Hershey's (at least I know why Hershey's is so crap now though!) Purdy's Hedgehogs are just divine!!

We went to the Ghirardelli factory in San Fransisco a few years back mmmmmmmm. Mind you the kids preferred Cadbury World in the UK because you get to drink the warm melted chocolate there even more mmmmmmm!!

Mind you we had an English guy who gave us Thornton's - I didn't want the other's to get a look in on that one!! Everyone admitted they were in a class of their own. However, in the reality of Thornton's, Galaxy etc not being generally available Purdey's does just fine IMO.

Unfortunately they agree, we love it when we get Purdy's chocs given to us.

I knew I should not have come in here. Souvette's bar of Lindt cherry-chili is calling to me. I'm struggling.

Even though I hate Hershey's, their Heath bars are excellent - in the summer, try crushing one up in vanilla ice-cream.

There's a real chocolatier in Lakefield who makes very yummy choccies. The place also sells wine, what more can you want from a store?
