From: Near Colchester, Essex hoping to go to Port Moody, BC

Burnt some of ours in the chiminea during a BBQ - wouldn't recommend it, smoke was incredible. So we used a steel bin.

Is it a problem? Why not just shred it like most people seem to do?

What problem? Shredders are cheap and widely available.

If it's a huge amount of stuff, check whether or not there's a mobile shredder/document destruction operation in your area. Big truck pulls up, in the back is a diesel-powered monster shredder. Toss the whole lot in at once.

i recently shredded pretty much everything i don't need as part of the "lighten my life for departure" process. get a decent cross cut shredder and you should be fine.
for a little extra peace of mind maybe throw away all the individual bags of shred in different places and at different times, it all goes to the same hole in the ground but the geographic spread would make it so much more difficult for anyone to piece it back together. unless you're being followed...
