Congratulations. Have you notified the Guinness Book of Records yet?

I did consider it, bearing in mind that it's taken 4 weeks to get here from Kansus, but I think there may be other packages that have taken longer.

Nice thought though

:p

Friday 31st March. Ordered TV from Best Buy (on-line). Two actually.
Chose delivery by Canada Post because it was free.

That evening I received the tracking numbers from Best Buy.

Tracked them Monday, delivery due Thursday.

Delivered on Thursday.

Just the one set up so far - works great. Bit of reorganising for the other.

Unbelievable value for $150.
Bloody hell....just discovered it's now $230!!

A parcel was sent to us via priority mail from Switzerland. Sent Jan 31st, arrived April 7th! It was baby clothing for our daughter, and barely fits her!

Was there any tracking to see where the hold up was?

My eldest daughter is still awaiting her birthday present from my her aunt in the UK. It was posted 3 weeks before her birthday in March by airmail. Still no sign of it!

Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.

Found this on another forum, someone wrote to Canada Post to inquire about the lengthy delays, especially for items coming in from Asia.

Spoiler:
Thank you for your email to Mr. Deepak Chopra, President and Chief Executive Officer, regarding the delivery of packages sent from China.

Your message was referred to me for response. I can understand your interest in this matter, as you’ve mentioned that you often order items online; we realize the importance of these items. The circumstances involving the delays are unique and certainly unfortunate.

Canada Post is working in partnership with the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) to resolve delays in processing international inbound mail through its Vancouver facility. As the gateway into Canada for Asia-Pacific posts, delays at the Vancouver facility are primarily for items originating from postal administrations in this region. I should add that all international items sent from foreign posts entering the Canadian Postal system are made available for customs review by the CBSA at one of Canada’s three international postal clearance facilities, in Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal. Normal processing continues in Toronto or Montreal.

I wish to assure you of our continuing commitment to providing the best possible delivery service for all Canadians.

Yours sincerely,
Doug Ettinger
Chief Commercial Officer

Small package posted last Thursday (6th April) in London England, arrived here today.

Letter posted 23rd March in London England, not yet arrived here.

Letter posted 27th March in York England, arrived 3rd April here.

There's no rhyme or reason to it...
