Interestingly (for me anyway) last Friday 20th May when I was at my Scotia branch at Lakeshore and Bathurst- they were telling me it was lucky I'd come in late on as there had been some commotion earlier in the day. Apparently one of the banks in the area had been hit by an armed robbery and they all had to shut for a couple of hours.

That was something that till that point I had not heard of in Toronto and it did not make any news broadcasts either......

This week, my husband caught a bank robber red-handed.

In England, he never caught a bank robber.

Ergo, crime is higher in Canada. ;)

We were robbed last night here in Kamloops. :(

We have a number of largish berry-bearing bushes that border our garden and when we got up this morning the said bushes had been all but stripped bare........and worst still, the guilty culprit even had the temerity to leave a large thankyou gift on the lawn for us.......in the form of a large pile of poop!!!

Damn those pesky bears..... ;)

Haha brilliant :) Best result of my week was taking some scag-fuelled heroin dealers off of the street for a bit.

Spent some of my day watching the police in fancy SUV's shoot at, then jump on, a nutter with what looked like a sword (i was on the 25th floor looking down so could easily have been a baguette) in downtown Vancouver.

I also had my iPod nicked this weekend after i left if out for 2 minutes in the gym changing room. After reading some of the happier stories on here i was hoping it would have been returned with a few extra songs on it and some new headphones but nope. I hope they get tinnitus, the pricks.

I think this thread has brought me bad luck cos i never had any issues like this in the UK

I suspect providence rather than design.
