They even got an RCMP escort...ha ha

RCMP should now use the photo and video footage to try and identify as many as possible to fine them....

Rules and restrictions mean nothing if they are not being enforced.

Well that is a start, organizer will probably crowd fund from his supporters, I always thought the fine should be higher, maybe an extra 0 at the end.

Yep the quote was:

On Sunday, Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP said the “self-identified organizer” of the event was issued a ticket for violating the Gatherings and Events Order of the COVID-19 Related Measures Act, which carries a $2,300 fine. The RCMP did not name the person who was handed the fine.

The rally in Regina had 2 organizers (both from out of town), and they each received $2,800 tickets. They'll be paid by crowdfunding, I suppose by the same sort of faithful who are still sending money to Trump.

Hopefully the vaccines will continue to work against new variants or we might be screwed.

I wonder if the viroligists will have their status permamently upgraded once the heat of this pandemic has passed. Bill Gaters (and others) warn a more serious pandemic is entirely possible, at any time, and as species we really ought to be better prepared.

Staff at Big White unable to following the restrictions in place have led to many dozens of people having to be tested, so far only 2 confirmed cases, but they are testing another 60 to 80 people today so subject to increasing.

Kelowna area has seen cases rise tenfold since November, and now has one of the highest per capita case counts in BC.
