Our first year in canada last year, we unplugged the phones and kept the computer off until we was more sorted...............
then we webcam the family and the rest of the time was for us
Felt strange not to have OH family at the door at 5am, but it was good as we was a family with the kids

As far as the decorations, well i lost the reindeers under the snow, the leads to all the lights was buried somewhere......and we finally got the decorations down in febuary, but thats because we was moving..................lol
Looking forward to our first xmas in our new home, but it will be a strange one for us lot this year (personal) - But wow not even thought that far ahead we have hallowen to deal with first
and thanks giving

At least you lot will have snow and stuff, just bloody grey sky, grey slush and b and q blow up snow men.
And the bloody rellies.

Our Christmas this year will likely be like last year's. Drive up to Montreal Christmas Eve for the family fight. Christmas Day, taxi to the airport and bugger off to Cuba until after New Year. This gives us a break from both the winter and the family.

We have our son flying home from the Rock on the 18th Dec right through til early January. It's strange not having him around the house.
For such a short distance the $550 flight did make me gulp a little

following the good tradition then Souvey!!!!
We differ a little with the simmering tempers leading up to the big "happy" lunch with the odd controlled explosions regarding kitchen egos.
Then when I chuck everyone out, oops sorry, our guests leave
the relief sets in that its all over. Then I fall asleep.

Not really looking forward to Christmas. It will be our first in Canada, just me and hubby, normally all the kids & grandchildren come to me , I moan about all the cooking and clearing up, but truth told, I love it.
What an empty house ours will be.

Sod off with this Topic. I loath Christmas. It is bloody awful. I say, banned this filth. It far to early to start even thinking about this depressing subject.
