I really do think that's taking the cake.
Now go back and look at post #7, I dont expect an apology from you though.

don't worry, you won't get it. This place is getting nastier and nastier by the day and put frankly, I'm wondering why I bothered coming back if all that happens is that people get slammed with rules and regs. But oh, thats fine as several posts later there is a post to someone else saying they should have put a smiley in. How about simply posting reasonably instead, now there's a novel idea.

Heres something for you then mwhahahahahaha

Currently makeing 7 plywood reindeer plus santa and sleigh to go on the roof of the house, painted, with holes drilled through for all the sparkly lights to be poked through.

Downside is a huge gale which will take the aforementioned rocketing into the distance - plus side it will look like santa and his reindeer do fly.

YAY tbh our house is not surrounded by anyone - you can't even see another house from our yard so we won't really be offending any scrooges in the area. I LOVE christmas and am determined to be as twinkly and sparkly as possible (although I didn't put lights or anything on the outside of the house back in England - must've caught the bug over here!)

Our first Xmas here was a bit odd - just the four of us - nice - but just odd - too quiet in a way.

Have you met anyone you could rope into joining you for the day? - or if any invites do come your way, just take them up on it!

Or there's always the volunteering somewhere option ...

Don't think about it now - you'll be super depressed by the day. Or ignore the whole thing perhaps and go out for a nice walk (in -18 ).

Hope it all works out fine for you

I hate Christmas over here its boring, especially Christmas eve. My favourite bit about Christmas though was the Christmas Day lunchtime drink down the pub with my dad, uncles etc while my mum, nan and aunties made the dinner.

Maybe those of you that are new and/or haven't made friends yet or are too ugly to have friends could have a BE Christmas get together.

I will get some of those hor's thingy's from Sobeys for those that dont like mince pies.

Anyone who wants to come to Burlington is welcome

The food is never the main event at these dos. It's usually mass catering (20 or more, all with the same genes), so it's just fuel.

The best bit is later when, safe and sound back home, we chuck out 95% of the presents we got.

I bet we get another dry Xmas day (the snow, not the alcohol) - which is weird considering how many snowstorms we get in January.

Thank god I don't have to deal with posting, sorry "mailing" stuff back to the Uk this year as we are going home to visit on the 15th Dec for 2 weeks

Cannot wait - first time we will have been back since we moved out here, nearly 2 years ago.

going back with vitually an empty suitcase for all the high street bargains I'll be picking up!!
