The technical issues aside, why do the Canadians have to copy everything the Americans do? If you're going to change a perfectly descriptive word from the original language, make your own naffing one up. There must be a term in the sociological literature for an obsequious culture?

In British cooking game chips served with pheasant and partridge are deep fried thin slices of potato, aka a crisp. So maybe we are the ones who are wrong?

As an earlier post said KFC chips are awful in the UK but really good here and lacks the extra salt offered in the UK.

Best are NY fries that I've tried so far
