How many times do I have to point out that this thread is a wind-up by a bored academic in B.C.?
Basildon by the way is a lot like Mississauga.

Couldn't agree more with this. I remember reading once about all the articles that the Daily Mail print that turn out to be complete lies, it was pretty incredible and these were the sort of articles that ruin lives. I never trust any red tops or the Daily Mail for news. It's complete sensationalism. The front page headlines are normally selected from - a) Maddy b) Princess Di or c) Immigrants, followed by a photo of a middle classed missing white blonde girl to make you feel warm and fuzzy and something to relate to, next to a picture of crazy looking, evil bearded Muslim to make sure you couldn't feel any more worlds apart.

I was never one to really follow the Daily Mail (though my mother was and I always told her not to read such sensationalist nonsense) but I still felt like a stranger in my own country. Just the general standard of peoples behavior and morals is so low in my opinion. But of course there's always pros and cons and the UK still has good stuff about it, just in my case the good didn't justify staying there.

Did you grow up in Basildon?? or even go there? Basildon is nothing like Missisauga!! The closest thing I can compare Basildon to is Oshawa! But thanks for telling me what my hometown is like though...

What, in your opinion, is the defining characteristic of Mississauaga that differentiates it from Oshawa?

A 17-year-old Edmonton youth was charged Thursday with first-degree murder after a man was found shot to death in a parked car.
Brandon Dierich, 23, died of multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night in a residential area at 93rd Street and 68th Avenue, near the Mill Creek Ravine.
Why are Indian students being attacked in Australia?
What is happening to Indian students in Australia? Why have they been mugged, knifed, set alight, and murdered, mostly, in Melbourne, Australia's proud multi-racial melting pot city where, according to my colleague Nick Bryant, people from 140 nations live side-by-side?
