Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2013
On the one hand people are commenting that he was an overpaid loutish footballer who despite numerous attempts keeps going back to the bottle so stuff him
then on the other
the guy is a human being with a problem and needs help.
Despite this if you don't fully accept you have a problem (which I don't reckon he does or any one of the numerous 'save Gazza' attempts would have worked).
I hope he doesn't die, is all I can deduce from this - and not because he isn't on my list.

I don't remember the details but didn't this all start after he beat his wife up?
I wonder if he's ever considered emigrating. I'm sure if he's away from all his geordie mates, the British press and public then he might have a good chance of self-destruction in privacy (I mean where we don't have to take part in the spectacle of his decline).... or not.
If I were him, I'd move to a nice little island somewhere hot and try to forget the past.

Not sure how to feel about this.

Why would Stuart Hall consider taking his own life if he's innocent?

Are you suggesting that people decided upon their guilt depending upon racial issues?
If you are, that's the first time I have heard such an argument used in relation to Jackson. I believed most viewed his innocence or guilt upon their view of the Bashir interview or blamed his acquittal upon his status as a celebrity

I do think that when it comes to celebrity crime, perception of guilt is hugely influenced by the race of the accused.

In a way, I suppose I'm glad Hall is not on my list. If he does cop it this year, sure, seems like an easy 16 points. But they'd be tarnished points; suicidal nonce points.
I really don't think I'd be very happy if my score had been subsidised by points of this nature.
Just a thought: can we get double points for correctly guessing where the celeb goes (based on circumstances of death)? Heaven, hell, revenant, reincarnated?
