That article says he's not dead. I'm surprised at that but don't see the relevance to the pool.

It was a case of me checking back to page 1, to see who I'd picked and I saw his name mentioned. The glib thoughts "unlucky!" and "almost!" ran through my mind.

Surely people who play golf for a living only count as celebrities if they're in the news for something else. Maybe like their wife beating them up with a club.

Yeah, I get that bit, thanks. But I also recall many other names being mentioned here whose "deaths have been greatly exaggerated"....so it's topical, that's all!

From what I can see, the story was run by newswires all over the world. Even the francophone QC papers reported it and few people here would have ever heard of him.

Let's just say he was suddenly admitted to the "CCT2013" waiting room...!

But anyway, Caretaker was right, he isn't dead, so perhaps I oughta have said nothing.
