Ursula Le Guin - rather saddened by this passing. The Wizard of Earthsea is still one of my favourites and the original Harry Potter, but without the hideous capitalism. https://www.theguardian.com/books/20...hor-dies-at-88

I'm sure 6 Music will be playing his music even more than usual..Radio 1 not so much.

Cruiser's Creek no more.

Really sad, he was a total one-off. Most of his stuff was pretty unlistenable really, but he turned out so much music that he ended up with more great songs than most artists ever make.

Marc Riley on 6 Music was actually in The Fall for a while and was live on air when news of Mark E Smith's death broke.

Oh my god Father Ted's gone too! Time for a wake. (It actually says Feb 13 2018 on top of the page in the link, honest mistake, but I now I've looked up others and found them dated 2016). It must have been an anniversary piece.
