Pfft if we're talking look-a-likes I've been Toya Wilcox and some group of peole when we were on holiday were nudging each other across the dinner table and saying I looked like Celine Dion. I was made up with that til my husband nearly choked on his beef.

Once,...."some" years ago, while walking beside a pool in France wearing only my swimming trunks and my Raybans...a group of hysterically excited little girls ran up to me and asked if I was Tom Cruise...(and all my family and friends witnessed it....and promptly p****d themselves laughing!)

The little girls were far too young to be drunk...

This is not something I'm particularly proud of .....

In the early 90's I was travelling back from Helsinki to London and our plane got diverted to Oslo and we had to disembark. We were all put in a room (with a bar!) to wait for a replacement plane. Hubby wandered off to the bar to get us some drinks and a little while later someone appeared at my shoulder and said 'here you go darling' .... I glanced up and it was some woman - she apologised profusely and said she had mistaken me for her husband (hmmm ok I guess that may be an easy mistake to make).

At this point I have to mention that I am seriously hopeless at recognising famous people in real life.

I thought no more of it until hubby returned and said, "wow what was Geena Davis saying to you?" I told him that she thought I was her husband - I thought he was going to die laughing. He then pointed out her husband (at the time) - Renny Harlin (who??). I was horrified - I didn't think I looked a bit like him, well except maybe the hair.

They ended up sitting in front of us on the plane back to London and she insisted on buying us drinks. They were a friendly couple but I kept looking at him and thinking wow I need a serious makeover!

The older I get the funnier I find it now but at the time I was mortified.

OK if you have to google Renny Harlin please look for early 1990 photos and not his latest macho makeover. I am pleased to say that I have become less and less like him as time has passed and I'm sure he is just as happy.

Twice upon boarding planes, I have been told by stewardesses that I resemble Tom Hanks. Never anywhere else. Perhaps its an Air Canada thing.

I was told by a woman at a call centre that I was like James Bond.
