Celeb-a-likes

I've just received an email on a very boring subject from an Emily Bishop. (True!)

Have you ever had your gas meter read by a Winston Churchill, or had your teeth polished by a Kate Middleton? Perhaps you had driving lessons from a Paul Daniels, or bought a house from an Anthea Turner?

Tell us all about your 'nearly celebrity' encounters!

A teacher of mine was called Johnny Walker and I went out with a girl called Doris Day. Although not a cele-a-likie, one of my thesis advisors was aptly named Pratt.

I was in school with the Curtis brothers, Tony and Ian. And no family get together is complete without an appearance by uncle Tom(my).

Too hard to recollect. Easier would be, which celebrity have you been compared to (if any, and if willing to disclose!).

One of the Dads at our old school was called Richard Burton, but did not have the same presence.

I was asked once if I was Jill Morrell.

It's been said that I both resemble and possess the powers the the Devil himself. If you need proof of my satanic power, just cast your eyes to the left.

(This post will make no sense what so ever after my next one.)

Re: Celeb-a-likes

I've been stopped in the street, on numerous occasions, and had my photograph taken with people who have passed me off for (in no specific order :-

Allan Bateman
George Clooney
Mr Bean
That bloke off The Bill
Ray Donovan (Liebe Schreiber)

Countless dealings with celebs (with the exception of maybe 10 or so) were all genuinely nice people.

I'm often compared to Jesus.

Many is the time I have heard people say, "Christ, here he comes."

No, you're not.

Silly. Silly thread.

I used to be compared to Alan Shearer, then to Albert Einstein. After that Gandalf and more recently a Cheeky French Chappie (avec des baguettes mais sans des onions).
