I don't like the wood because it makes the room echoey, especially if there are blinds rather than drapes too. I do like the look of the wood but I need all the help I can if I am going to make out what people are saying.

I have a bissel from walmart too and its super, it even has an upholstery tool for the stairs and sofa etc, and having a dog that likes to roll in mud then roll on the carpet it comes in handy.......i ended up buying it as i was renting the rug doctor often and found that spending $40 a time was adding up so i may as well have my own and have no time limits on when i can and cant use it!

That said, i've had enough and the carpet is coming out this weekend and hardwood is going down, only in the main room where the dog likes to spread his clattiness though

I do, they do. The cats don't.

I used to think my wood floors were clean until my mum was here. She had white slipper socks on, the soles of them were filthy. Lets face it, I'm a slut.

Yes it is funny, BE cat does that anyway. He has a huge backend, built for speed, and usually has to fall over to stop.

I tried to buy a Bissell last night but Home Depot didn't know what I was talking about. Crappy Tire, were the same once I got in there. I tripped on their scrubby door mats on the way in and landed on the turnstiles. This hurt, all CT did was agree with me when I said the mats were dangerous. No chair to sit on, nothing. Pah

The good news is that OH has managed to borrow a Bissell for the weekend. So money saved
