Default Car rentals...

Anyone know where the best to book from, or even has a promo code for a car rental (max for 2 weeks - hopefully!).

Our flights are booked for the 15th Nov, to Toronto, we are going to Fredericton and need a car until we find one to buy/lease...

Cant help with codes, but my rellies usually end up using Discount as the cheapest option if that helps, unless they get lucky with special offers.

Not every company will let you drop the car off in another province.

Alamo are pretty good if you find them cause of the unlimited millage. I used them to hope across Canada and Back.

This is a particular problem in the maritimes unfortunately!! I once tried pricing a one way for relatives from Fredericton - Toronto with no luck at all - they ended up getting the train!!

I have used rent a wreck in toronto, and a friend used them in BC - he hired a bouncy cadillac - great in the snow !

I had no complaints, seem professional enough.

Dont be put off by the term wreck, they are not bad cars.

I can definitely warmly recommend Rent-a-Wreck, in particular the branch we used -off Toronto airport-. We rented for a month, it was the best price, the car was fine and they picked us up from the airport! After we gave the car back, they dropped us off at the subway/bus station!! That IS good customer service.

We use Budget through Costco. Pretty much all of them are the same, just depends who has the best deals at the time. Only way to find out for sure is phone around.

The last time I had a car I was leaving in another province I had to pay mileage from Moncton to Halifax then offhire and rehire the same car to take advantage of the unlimited mileage for the rest of the trip in Halifax
