We are having a huge thunderstorm at the mo! Got out of the car after shopping and got pelted with hail! Shopping is now defrosting nicely in the boot!

My 5 year old is currently cuddled up on the sofa watching the lightning and counting until it thunders to see how far away it is - he is not getting past 2!

Anyone else in the UK enjoying the storm?

Went dark as the pit of hell at about 3pm when Skyping OH in Van. Torrential rain and thunder - quite impressively loud but sadly not impressive lightning. Still rumbling on after several hours here in Derbyshire!

Yup pretty much the same for us here about 2.30pm today! Was sat tucked up in work watching! All gone now though.
