Correct

Nasty things that can give you cancer of the tongue and mouth.

The point, you want a point? Try this one-

Is it reasonable to expect a national news broadcast to get their facts right?

Yes of course it is. I just don't think this particular fact is that important. Unless of course you feel that CBC reporting is riddled with inaccuracies and this is just the latest in a long list of errors.

Country, dogs, going.

The thing is, it was a "fact" thrown into the story with no relevance at all to it, and it would have taken them 2 minutes tops to verify.

The other one I spotted yesterday was regarding the british nobel prize winner (actually a dual US/ British citizen) who shared his prize with "2 US Physicists", one of whom was actually from Canada. Its since been modified to say something else

Yes, its not as crass as misidentifying a capital city, but its the same malaise, I guess I just expected better from the "Paper of record" ( if not the CBC obviously).

The capital of The Netherlands is?

Many people would get those questions wrong.

The capital of Australia is? Sydney
The capital of Brazil is? Rio de janerio
The capital of Germany is/was? Berlin
The capital of Canada is? Toronto
The capital of The Netherlands is? Holland

If you spot one mistake then you wonder about the other information that they give out.

Well I do. You seem not to.

I've just realised. Winners have opened a branch in Utrecht.

You really should have posted that in either the Create&Barrel or the Victoria's Secret thread.

But I like Utrecht as well.

Let's wait and see how many references to "the Rockies" there will be in the news at this winter's 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. ;)

Not got much time, but the answer is A, B, G, C, N (or maybe H). Ok - I'm going.... I'll fetch my coat on the way out.
