Wife Swap is my favourite television program.
"How dare you tell me I'm a bad mother just because I let my seven year old drink a pint of Jack Daniels a night and prostitute herself outside the local seaman's mission. At least I spend time with my kids."

Wow. Never seen it but it just went on my 'must watch' list!

I (reluctantly!) watched one of the "Real Housewives" shows, NY I think, or New Jersey... anyway some skanky woman upended a table at a restaurant after unleashing a magnificent effin' and blindin' rant at some other skank, and then afterwards said, without irony, "I think I'm a classy lady."

Bollocks. After an extended period of living with an American historian in Canada I'm quite well informed on all of the above, thank you very much.

Do please explain the practical day-to-day differences between life in, say, Ontario and Ohio.

I know Canadians are delicate creatures, easily upset, but do please try to tackle the issue. What is the difference between life in Canada and in the US?
