Bit of an unfair advantage if you ask me. He can't get cramp, or pull a hamstring.
he still has hamstrings...he's only amputated from the knee down...

They should've had at least a silver given the appalling penalty decision given to the yanks late in the semi-final. She scored a hat-trick in that game which was pretty impressive anyway. To bounce back from that as a team and beat France was amazing. She deserved to carry the flag.

Besides, trampolining is a non-sport and shouldn't even be in the Olympics.

So what can we look forward to next olympics? Armless rowers? Blind archers? Guide dog tossing?

I'm of the opinion they would have won the gold medal which is actually a mighty fine feet for a small populated nation like this.

It's a nice honor carrying the flag but not one that I think anyone really remembers so who cares.

That Canadian gold medalist will be more remembered especially as they were the only one.

If they hit the qualifying standard then why should they not be allowed if there is no proven advantage.

Why can't the games be open to everybody?

But what about those who could easily be argued are more deserving in post #11?

I'd be pissed off if i were them and overlooked for my achievements in place of a foul mouthed chav with limited success, and a leg up from the hype.

Booooooooooooooooo

I agree with you. The fella with no legs would have won the 400m Gold if he'd have made it to the final and won race

Legless man couln't make the South African qualifying time. But they put him in anyway.
I agree. The games should be open to everyone. I want to see Bolt run in the disabled 100 metres

I'd like to see split events, in a similar way to Motogp where you have full prototypes and then the CRT bikes on track at the same time.

You could have the disabled, "normal", and physically enhanced. Now THAT i'd watch.

Rollerball (as in the James Caan movie) should be an olympic event, as should something in the lines of The Running Man.

I'd also like to see a prisoner only event where there are booby traps and what not. Maybe even incorporate them into some events like "Dodge Javelin", or 'Dodge Hammer". "Shooting apples off the prisoners head" maybe. Or possibly a fan favourite, "100m sprint.......from a lion."

That Rogge fella could make so many improvements.

As your standards appear to be "only gold will do" maybe you should volunteer to be the guinea pig in a trial program !

Why would bolt run at the Para Olympics when he is not para?

Your argument is rubbish.

Have they changed the rules regarding qualifying times ? I remember some time ago they changed so that the likes of Eddie The Eagle and the African who could barely swim wouldn't be allowed to compete as they hadn't reached the qualifying standard.

Has this now changed so anyone can compete ? I noticed the young girl from Saudi or Qatar running a race well behind the field ( notable for being a woman and wearing head covering ) and clearly she didn't reach any qualifying standard.
