Default Canada's summer weather

Thought I would start this thread to let the UK people up-to-date with our weather.

The past week has been pretty hot here in NS. Yesterday was in the high 20Cs/low 30Cs. It is now 7.45am and is 17C at the moment with a high of 30C expected today. Humidity hasn't been bad over the last few days either which is great.

Don't know about anyone else but I find that our hottest time tends to be around 3-6pm instead of the usual 12-2 back over the pond.

Not totally bragging about the weather though as I am fairly puggled by evening time

just to make you feel better, OH was complaining about the fog and humidity when he got back to Halifax last week, so it does depend where you are in NS

It crossed my mind yesterday that I've never seen a thread about how hot Canada is just how cold. I have to say I think I must be a winter girl as these 30degree temps are killing me. Mowed and edged the lawns yesterday and just about passed out!

You are not alone there Lisa. I also find it hard going. I prefer temps around low 20Cs ie Sept in NS.

I recycle my dehumidifier water collection and water my plants with it

We had a temperature of 36.5˚ on Canada Day here in Pemberton, BC. Was way too hot for me and the puppy was a little bit warm too! Thankfully it's going to be 10˚ less today - way more comfortable.

On average the weather in canada is quite nice

You just have to add the winter numbers to the summer numbers and divide by two......

All I can say had a really nice hot couple of days but presently a lovely breeze blowing through the house with all the windows open, which also means no biting insects

We've decamped to sleep in the cool basement for the past week or so - and now it just seems easier to stay there for the whole month ! Last July was just too hot for me for about three of the weeks - it's a bit more mixed up at the moment this year - hot and humid for a day or two, then a quick thunder shower then sunny again.

I'm not complaining though.
